What did you use for wing mounting bolts on the Robin Hood 80?

Hi Roger, I used 1/4 x 20 Socket head nylon bolts. The Robinhood 80 design use four bolts same as the 99 I think

Don't know how effective they would have been at shearing during a ground loop or whatever, never had a test thankfully.

I am almost done with my Robinhood 25, this design uses the rubber band system, I modified mine to bolt on. I am using two 8 x 32 screws. Saito .30 power.

I only flew it ounce and it was a gentle flight. When I took the wing bolts off they looked like a corkscrew. I was thinking the guy didn't get them aligned or the nylon was't strong enough. I now have metal screws in there.

Yeah I've seen that before. I think what happens is the guy will harden the threads with CA and then doesn't bother to re-tap the threads. Makes threading the bolts in too tight resulting in excessive torque distorting the bolts.
